The details of the behind the scenes, and the growth and change I’ve been through this year has been a lot. Liiike a lot.
One thing, and probably my biggest accomplishment has been to keep my circle of people small. I’ve seen a lot of true colors and decided I’m keeping my heart and mind at peace. No longer trying to grasp at straws at relationships I thought were always going to be there. Realizing family isn’t always blood. It’s quite wild to see those who know, or knew the deep and dark stuff I have had to deal with that will easily fall away. I have felt a lot of disappointment in certain people that I thought would be there but weren’t when I needed them most.
But that’s also where I grew the most.
Those just aren’t my people anymore. I don’t want to live a life trying to prove myself. If you want to see the door, feel free, I’ll kindly guide you out.
It’s a huge, freeing weight off of me. You have no idea.
I’ve been so blessed and really focused on my husband and kids and kept my circle very small. But I am so thankful and grateful for them.
Seeing me for who I really am.
My heart and soul, which is honestly so pure. I’ve had to work hard to keep that light in me shine. Even my husband has said, I don’t think they even know Mindy at all. And that was a gut punch, because he was right.
Don’t get me wrong, you do me wrong, you are a goner. I have no time and patience for that anymore and it doesn’t matter who you are. I will wash my hands of it and not walk on eggshells for one sided relationships anymore. The ones I tried so hard to care for were just becoming exhausting. So being free of that emotional baggage of trying is amazing, and I won’t apologize for it.
This year has felt like a lifetime.
A journey I needed.
To grow.
To heal.
To accept who is meant to be in my families life.
My life.
You’ve now got to earn that privilege and I love that for me.
Thank you to those who have been there. It’s been clocked and not taken lightly on my end.
I’m happy for this new peace I’m in. It’s wild but amazing. I only have one life, so I’m not taking it for granted.
Now I’m going to go live off grid in the sunshine.
Jk.
Maybe soon though 😉
